The Old Rectory modern Apartment

RESIDENTIAL・VALE OF GLAMORGAN

The Old Rectory Modern Apartment, designed by Di Oro Interiors, is a stunning interior design project located in an exclusive development in the Vale of Glamorgan. This commission involved a complete renovation of the open-plan kitchen and living area, two bedrooms, a private gym, and a games room. From the outset, our design process focused on creating a serene retreat that exudes warmth and timeless elegance. As part of our interior design services , we developed detailed visualisations and mood boards to explore a soft, natural palette that our client was keen to achieve. The layering of tactile materials, such as stone, microcement, linen, and wool-cashmere, enhances the calming atmosphere, while light and texture converge to create a cocoon-like sense of well-being throughout the Old Rectory Modern Apartment.

Architectural detailing and custom furnishings introduce subtle rhythm and interest. Highlights include a curved sofa, sculptural dining chairs, and bespoke plaster pendants above the dining table, each element thoughtfully positioned to enhance the flow of natural light. LED-lit covings and a hand-finished fireplace surround reinforce the tranquil character of the apartment. This serene atmosphere extends to the bedrooms, where comfort and style harmonise. In the child’s room, soft hues are paired with whimsical touches like glass balloon lights and starry wallpaper, fostering a dreamlike setting. This project is a key addition to Di Oro Interiors' interior design portfolio, showcasing our ability to deliver high-end, immersive living spaces that seamlessly balance aesthetics with function.
