Di Oro Interiors designed the David Morgan City Apartment, nestled within one of Cardiff’s most iconic buildings, for the daughter of a Qatari client. This centrally located residence required a complete reconfiguration of its original layout to optimise natural light, storage, and spatial flow. Comprising an entrance hall, open-plan kitchen/living/dining area, master en-suite with dressing room, and guest en-suite bedroom, the apartment initially suffered from inefficient planning and oversized furniture. The interior design services and renovation delivered by Di Oro Interiors were focused on enhancing both form and function, while capturing the client’s youthful yet refined style. To achieve this, the design team refreshed the once-dark interiors with a contemporary palette that amplifies light streaming through the apartment’s curved sash windows overlooking the Hayes. A carefully curated design process and detailed visualisation ensured harmony in both colour and material choices.

The master suite combines soft whites and greys with burnt orange accents, infusing energy and warmth. Meanwhile, the guest en-suite features dusty blues, offering a calm, timeless feel. Rich in material contrast and clean lines, each space was thoughtfully tailored to reflect individuality while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic throughout. The David Morgan City Apartment now stands as a refined example of urban renewal, showcasing Di Oro Interiors’ capacity to transform challenging layouts into elevated, liveable environments.
