FORMAL DRAWING ROOM

RESIDENTIAL・CARDIFF

The Formal Drawing Room, designed by the team at Di Oro Interiors, is a standout project in our design portfolio, showcasing of how our bespoke interior design services , can transform formal entertaining spaces into refined, functional showpieces. The project involved transforming two areas into a seamless open-plan drawing room, while preserving the elegance of the existing wall panelling chosen by the client. Our design process included adding intricate panelling above the dado rail, as well as commissioning antique mirrors and custom artwork to fit within the larger plaster panels. This thoughtful renovation restored the room’s grandeur, while pastel hues and luxurious silk textures on the walls, paired with rich gold accents, heightened the formality and sophistication of the space.

In keeping with the client’s brief, our team at Di Oro Interiors focused on maximizing seating for gatherings while maintaining an aesthetically pleasing design. A bespoke corner sofa, two armchairs, and two large sofas flanking the fireplace created an inviting yet intimate atmosphere. The bespoke joinery details, including silk-wrapped cabinetry doors with custom metal trims, added layers of texture and refined elegance. A narrow console and exquisite table lamps, positioned to reflect off the antique mirrors, completed the design, further enhancing the luxury and formality of the room. This project showcases Di Oro Interiors’ expertise in delivering tailored design solutions with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring every element contributes to the overall aesthetic and functionality of the space.
